Summary of the book

India Steel is furious. After her father dies and her husband takes her inheritance, she finds herself without a job or home. Despite having worked with her father for years, none of the watchmakers of London will employ her. In fact, they seem to be afraid of her.

Since she’s running out of options, she ends up working for a mysterious American: Mr Glass. On the search of an unusual watchmaker, Mathew Glass employs India to help him. Soon, she discovers he is keeping some huge secrets. Why does he own a glowing watch that rejuvenates him? Is he the American outlaw the police is looking for? Combining some romance, mystery, and fantasy, C. J. Archer is successful in creating an exciting novel.

Personal Comments on The Watchmaker’s Daughter

The Watchmaker’s Daughter was a great book to read. What struck me most about it were the characters’ personalities. Although India and Mathew are very different, they understand each other. Throughout the story, we learn that despite their differences, they still have many things in common.

I really recommend this novel! You can download it for free on Amazon.
