Set in a futuristic, post-apocalyptic world, Moon Chosen tells the story of Mari, the future leader of the Earth Walkers.

Moon Chosen: Tales of a New World #1

I really enjoyed reading this book. Set in a futuristic, post-apocalyptic world, Moon Chosen tells the story of Mari, the future leader of the Earth Walkers. Heir to the healing powers of her clan, she is the only one who can save her people from complete darkness. During this story, she must face challenges that will help her discover who she really is. She will also meet Nik, the future leader of an enemy clan, who will help her control her powers and embrace her true identity.

As obscurity begins to advance over their lives, Nick and Mari must fight together to protect their loved ones, breaking the rules of their respective clans on the go. Will they be able to change the world and overcome their fears?

“I just have to do the right thing, and recently I’ve realized that sometimes the right thing seems crazy to those who don’t want change.”

I loved getting lost in this book’s imaginary world. Even though it took quite a number of pages for the plot to start, once the story got going I couldn’t put the book down until I had finished it. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Mari and Nik and adored their dog companions. They were genuinely loyal and loving.

Moreover, this novel made me want to continue reading the following books of Tales of a New World. I usually prefer standalone books to series, but this was not the case with Moon Chosen. I just had to know how the story continued!

All in all, it is a novel that focuses on overcoming prejudices and accepting others for what they truly are. Almost all the characters become much more understanding and forgiving as the story develops.

If you are into novels which combine both fantasy and romance, you should definitely read it. You can find it on Amazon or Book Depository.
